Help and support
Last updated 16 August 2026
NightShelf is made and supported by one person. Write to support@nightshelf.pt and you will reach a human — usually within a few days, and sooner for anything involving losing access to an account or its data.
Reporting a problem
The more of this you can include, the faster it gets fixed: what you were trying to do, what happened instead, the title or page it happened on, and the device and browser you were using. A screenshot usually says more than a description.
Trouble signing in
Sign-in uses the email address you signed up with. Email addresses are matched without regard to capitalisation or surrounding spaces, so those are not the cause of a failed sign-in.
There is no self-service password reset yet. If you cannot get back into your account, email the mailbox above from the address you signed up with and we will sort it out with you directly.
Repeated failed sign-in attempts are temporarily rate limited to protect accounts from guessing. If you are locked out this way, waiting a while and trying again will clear it.
Your data
You can export everything NightShelf holds about you from the Data section of your Account page — “Export all (JSON)” covers all of it, and “Library (CSV)” covers your library alone.
You can delete your account and everything in it from that same section, or request deletion without signing in via our account deletion page. Deletion is immediate and permanent, so export first if you want a copy.
What we collect and how long it is kept is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Wrong or missing title information
Titles, descriptions, release dates and cover art come from external catalogues rather than from NightShelf — the providers are listed on the About page. Corrections made at the source will flow through here. If something looks wrong and you would rather not chase it upstream, tell us and we will pass it on.
If a title is missing entirely, you can always add it by hand with your own cover, using “Can’t find it?” at the bottom of the search screen.
Security reports
If you believe you have found a vulnerability, please email the mailbox above with “security” in the subject and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before disclosing it publicly. Reports are welcome and taken seriously.
